The Catalogue of Solutions working-group is working towards a web-based platform where individuals and organisations can present their solutions for a just and sustainable transition of our society.

Using the “People's Declaration from Klimaforum09, System change – not climate change” as a political guideline, the platform should offer a space to present, share and discuss information, projects and ideas that can make a change.

A group of volunteers met few times with members from different civil society organisations between March to June 2010 in Copenhagen, to discuss the purpose, structure and functions of the catalogue platform.

The Catalogue of Solutions platform should

• present real, just, sustainable and people oriented solutions
• give the opportunity to share information,  ideas and projects, to discuss them and to develop them further
• offer solutions for different target groups, different levels and for different regions
• show how each of us can make the first step to make the change happen

Presented solutions should contain following information:

• Title of the Solution >  A short and to the point title should be chosen by the author
• Author > Person who uploaded the solutions; could be, but doesn't has to be the contact person
• Published/date > Indicates when the solution was first published
• Contact / contact person > Address Email, phone number and website for further questions
• Description (steps) > Short description how the solution can be implemented
• Why is the project a great idea? > Reasons why the solution is just and sustainable
• Materials needed > What is needed to implement the solution and where to get it
• Cost estimation > Known or estimated costs implement the solution (please add currency)
• Further reading > Related and recommended references
• Links to related pictures or graphics > Make sure that the pictures and graphics are free to use
• Links for attached documents > Please use following Naming: Author_Year_Category_Short title
• Links > All links should not only have a title, they should include a short description as well: What, why?
• Comments > Comments or questions by the author as starting point for further discussions

Presented solutions should be categorized by:

Categories/themes:
□ Energy                     □ Transportation    □ Resources    □ Production & Craft              □ Politics
□ Housing & Construction     □ Food      □ Economy        □ Community & Culture        □ Visions

Level(s) on that the solution should be implemented:
□ Individual/Home – what can you do today with given resources, family, friends
□ Local community – schools, organisations, interest groups
□ Regional (municipality) – regional decision making and economy
□ National (one country) - national decision making and economy
□ International/global (involves more than one country) – international institutions

Time frame that the the solution can be implemented in:
□ Today      □ Within months     □ Within a year     □ Within 2 years     □ Near future

The current status of the project is, that some solutions should be collected to test if the structure works and to get feedback from the solution authors. The results will be used to develop the project further.
